Privacy Policy

We use your data only to (1) run the Dryer service itself (transcription, organization, storage, returning results) and (2) compute subscription usage and billing.

We do not train models, do not sell data, do not show ads, and do not run marketing trackers.

• Account info
  When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email, display name, and Firebase account ID. If you pick Apple's "Hide My Email," we only see the Apple relay address.
• Content you create
  Audio files, transcripts, text you type, images and links you upload, and the AI workgroup's outputs based on them.
• Device & session
  Request timezone and device type (web / iPhone / Watch). If you grant location permission, we record coarse location so notes carry their context. Location can be turned off in your system settings at any time.
• Usage data
  Note count, AI processing count, subscription state. Used to (a) keep usage within your subscription limits, (b) prevent abuse.

• Run the service
  Pass your input to AI for processing, store results, and return them to you on demand.
• Subscription & billing
  Track subscription state and usage. iOS payments are processed by Apple via the App Store.
• Errors & abuse
  Diagnose crashes and detect abuse. Logs are kept only as long as needed.

We will not use your content to train any model, will not sell your content to third parties, and will not use it for ad targeting.

To make Dryer run, the services below have access to portions of your data. Each has signed a DPA prohibiting use of your data for training or their own purposes:

• OpenAI
  Audio transcription (Whisper), text processing (generating replies, organizing, connecting ideas), and image generation. Content is not used to train models.
• Cloudflare R2
  Stores your uploaded audio, images, and other files.
• Firebase Authentication (Google · Apple)
  Account and sign-in management. Sign in with Apple is verified directly by Apple.
• Railway
  Server hosting and database (PostgreSQL).
• Apple (In-App Purchase)
  iOS subscription billing. Apple does not share your payment information with us — we only receive Apple-issued transaction receipts.

We will not share your data with any third party outside the list above, except: (a) with your explicit consent, or (b) as required by law.

While your account is active, your content stays available so you can access it.

You can delete your account from the iOS app at Settings → Danger zone → Delete account; on submit, we immediately erase all your content from the primary database and file storage, and sign out your Firebase account. Copies in backup systems are overwritten within the normal backup cycle, no longer than 30 days.

If you only access the web, you can email us at the address below to request deletion — we'll complete it within 7 days.

  View any content you've created.
• Export
  Contact us — we'll package up your data.
• Delete
  Delete individual notes, or request a full account deletion.
• Correct
  Contact us to correct inaccurate account info.

Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS; data at rest uses the cloud provider's default encryption. Only the necessary server services have database access.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data incident occurs, we'll notify affected users as required by law.

Our processors are primarily in the US and EU. Using Dryer means you agree that your data may be transferred to and processed in these regions.

Dryer is not for users under 13. If we discover data from a child under 13 was collected by mistake, we'll delete it immediately.

For material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by email before the new policy takes effect. Minor wording updates go straight onto this page along with a new "Last updated" date.
